Christopher A Field CFP®
What I love about my job:
I love getting to know what is important to my clients and having meaningful relationships with them that, for some, span 30 years. Helping those clients to a great (successful) outcome and hearing about it from them is extremely satisfying.
Education and experience:
I began my career as a financial advisor when the famous 1987 “Black Monday” stock market crash was still a vivid memory for many and immediately saw the benefits of a goals based financial planning approach with clients. I completed the CFP professional education program in 1992 and have maintained that designation since. I have degrees in Economics and Agricultural Business from Montana State University and am a Registered Investment Advisor Representative with Cetera Advisor Networks.
Early in my career, I recognized that becoming an Independent Financial Advisor allowed me to forge deeper relationships with clients and put their interests ahead of those of corporate America. In that vein, I help individuals with their retirement planning and retirement income strategies as well as investment advisory services. I also devote much of my time to advising local firms relative to their 401(k) plans.
About me:
I have lived in Montana almost my entire life and have loved every minute of it. I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting and fishing, building—both new construction and restoration, and scuba diving.

My job:
I’m usually the first person you see when you walk through our doors. My job includes maintaining client records, interfacing between our financial advisor and the financial platforms and networks he uses to manage portfolios, and assist clients with questions, concerns, scheduling needs, and basic monetary transactions.
Education and experience:
I graduated Carroll College with a BA in Elementary Education and graduated National University with a master’s in education. I recently completed my notary public certification, which affords me more opportunities to serve a variety of our clients’ needs.
I use my background as a former special education teacher to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. I also bring my interpersonal skills and relationship development from time spent as a director of a private school to help meet clients’ needs and wants. One of the best parts of my job is bringing care and compassion to our current clients to help them feel welcome during each visit and to help new clients feel comfortable through the onboarding process.
About me:
In my free time, I enjoy every season Montana has to offer. I spend the winters skiing with my boys, hiking the trails with my dog in the spring and fall, and floating the Missouri river in the summer months. I try to live the belief that we work hard so that we can play hard.

Things I love about what I do:
I love supporting a team that is focused foremost on the good of each client, with a personal approach tailored to their unique circumstances. Primarily operating behind the scenes, I help ensure things are organized and running smoothly at the office. I enjoy providing back-up support serving as receptionist when needed, as well as planning staff meetings.
Education and experience:
I have extensive experience in business management, customer service, and community outreach. For 13 years, I managed a successful retail jewelry store for Barry’s Jewelers Inc. I left retail to prioritize time with our young children. From home, I operated a custom jewelry consulting business for seven years. Eventually, I accepted a community outreach position with a local nonprofit. Using my acquired skills to support the advancement of Field Wealth Management and its clients is a rewarding experience, of which I am happy to be a participant.
Something Personal:
I enjoy spending time outdoors with Chris, my husband, and our two adult children. I like hiking and snowshoeing, identifying and using local wild plants, swimming, and snorkeling. Making pizza from scratch tops my list of favorite indoor activities!
